Daily?

 I'm going to try making a short post part of my morning routine ...get it in the evening if I miss. Is there something to write about every day? I'll find out.

The daily routine starts a little before 6am when Handsome Dan gets my attention by gently biting my ankle or shin. From there I give him some food, and let the big dogs out. Lilo goes out first. She doesn't attack cats, but she will clear the 'dog yard' of ferals. Brad Pit may go out after her, or he may wait until after I have fed the cats. 

Feeding the cats...  As soon as there are signs of motion in the house, Natalie will post herself at the back door. She waits.

 When I open the door Jeremy Clarkson will dart in if I am not careful. He clearly wants to be a house cat - very affectionate with people and other cats, he doesn't run away from children, He doesn't resist being picked up and carried. 

 When he does manage to get in the house, he greets the indoor cats and explores until I pick him up and return him outside. 

Thomas does come in. He is allowed inside or out as he desires and is well behaved. In the winter when he started coming in, he stayed in all night. Now he comes in for a few hours at feeding times and usually goes back out. He does well inside, but is still sorting out his relationship to dogs.

Thomas gets a small bowl of lactose free milk. He has chronic gum disease, which we get him treatments for as needed. He has a strong preference for milk over solid food, but I make sure that he gets both.
