Bruce Lee Trapped
It's been well over a year since I first saw Mr Lee. He is a Siamese or mixed Siamese male that has not been socially accepted into the colony, but stays on the periphery to get food when he is hungry. I thought that I saw a flea collar on him when I first saw him, but didn't get close enough to be sure. Over time he was seen several times a week at feeding times and did not have a collar.
Thomas and Smokey did not like having him around. They howled and chirped warnings if he came close to the other cats and attacked to chase him away when he persisted in their presence. One evening when they were all present, I intervened and talked with them. Mr Lee was to be allowed to approach and depart from the west and eat with the other cats if he didn't linger. Cats are pretty intelligent. I know that they understand some words, but more likely they have a good understanding of tone and body language. After that evening things calmed with Mr Lee as long as he was respectful of Thomas and Smokey.
Today after about a year of off and on attempts, I finally trapped Bruce Lee. It took a lot of patience, but I got him alone in the drop trap after many failures to get him to go for the bait in the smaller trap. He is at the vet now for neuter and vaccinations.
