I set the trail camera to observe the feeding area last night. The wild animals like the new location as much as the area by the spring. Foxes showed up as soon as it got dark. There was also a very large raccoon, a possum and skunks. I have known that extra food attracts wild animals, but I didn't realize that it would become a nightly food source for so many animals. The cats are eating (requiring) less of it than I thought.

I have realized that if I feed the cats, the other animals will come. Removing the food after watching the cats eat is probably the only way to stop it. For now, the wilds are remaining outside my fence and are not harming the cats. I'm going to let them be and continue to monitor.
